Akemi 172: A LOOOOOT OF THINGS HAPPENED!

Excited
Mood: Excited

Okay, so a lot of things happened the past few days, or better yet, hours.

I'm sitting in the Japanese 10 class for review; there are three of us, and we now sit at the back of the classroom, making trouble for everyone else (a.k.a. human dictionaries who are useless because we keep on talking). Then our sensei tells us we're going to have another teacher - a Japanese teacher - from the embassy. YAAAAAAAY. He came in yesterday. His name is Inoo sensei. (Yup, same family name as Inoo Kei of Hey Say JUMP).

I pushed Janno (one of the other 2 sit-in students) into asking him if he liked Matsumoto Jun. Inoo sensei said he did, so I went to ask if he liked Yamapi. And then he said he didn't. So I asked again, "How about Nishikido Ryo?" And he said... "Maa.. a bit." I told him I saw "Last Friends" and I really liked it. And somehow it escalated to a conversation between the 3 of us (sit-in students) and Inoo sensei about JE. HAHAHAHA! Mind you we were all taking in Japanese. And I was kind of a blubbering mess because I had to speak in 4 different languages all at the same time for those who were listening - Japanese, English, Tagalog and Cebuano (coz not everyone in the room knew Cebuano). And I got so confused... My head hurt afterward. But it was a real fun experience. I'm sitting in that class again. YAAAAAAAY!

Kenny and I have to really talk about UP Hai, I've got lots to tell her. WE NEED TO ORGANIZE UPHAI like, RIGHT NOW! Just sent a text message...

Will continue later because my class starts at 9am and I still need to take a bath.

Akemi 171: EKA Releases, Work and other Ramblings

Tired
Mood: Tired

My LJ friends know I'm in a fansubbing group for Kanjani8 called EitoKickAss (coz they do, they really do!). I kind of got busy timing Osen and now, I've released 3 finished videos - 1 from Yasu's SC guesting this month and 2 from ECO week. Now the comments are flooding my email inbox.

Anyway, I have so much to do. There's programming work, and currently I'm tutoring 2 elementary students. I would actually prefer tutoring high school over elementary. I know elementary lessons are easy (they're called "elementary" after all) but then little kids are the ones who need to be really really really guided in every thing and I kind of have to divide myself into 2. I might take in my niece during weekends. According to my cousin in law, she's not in the honors list anymore (due to technicalities in the STC honor's list qualifications, a slight difference of the grade can determine if you're on the list or not).

On the plus side, it's money. And gad do I need it. On the down side, I don't have much time for myself, let alone do fangirling stuff like subbing. I'm definitely taking a break during the entire month of September to focus on the Toyo University visit, though. My OJT isn't a problem. People there are considerate. But I need to find someone who can take over my tutees during that month. ASAP. (Yes, I'm planning ahead!)

I'm going to sit in Japanese 10 classes from now on for additional credit so that I get to take the JLPT level 4 exam.

Akemi 168: Ho Summer!

Apathetic
Mood: Apathetic

Hello! It's summer already. And it's hot. But not now, of course; it's like 11 in the evening!

I really need to sub that new Kanjani8 show. I'm now a timer for EitoKickAss subs, and I don't know why I became a timer when I actually applied for karaoke. Hmmmm. Anyway... Dunno when I'm even going to start. Maybe tomorrow night.

Talking about tomorrow, I think I'll be enrolling this summer for classes. I heard PI 100 is going to be opened and ComSci 140 is already open. I'm not sure if I can have Web Engineering (CMSC 140) as a MathSci elective. I hope it would be okay. I'd like to have more ComSci electives than Math electives actually. I'm missing 3 electives (9 units in all) and if the Math department would allow me to have CMSC 140 as one, I'd just have 2 left to think about. I want to take up Software Engineering though, that's CMSC 128. The last one would probably be a Math elective coz there aren't any more ComSci subjects that are really of much use to me. I'm probably going to take either Vector Analysis or Topology. Depends... I have to think about it.

Inui's blog, Good Data, is now open. See the right sidebar for the link. Ask him anything about technology. Or the Seigaku tennis team, maybe?

Akemi 167: Windows Vista?!

Mood: Working

I reformatted Tezuka because WAMP wasn't working. I need WAMP for my database (MySQL/PHP) project.

Anyway, I started re-installing everything and then Dad comes and asks me to install the printers on his laptop. Yup. The Vista one. He didn't know how to do it. So I was trying to figure out how to install it (turns out, the HP Photosmart printer was already pre-installed in the HD, you just have to plug and play it while the Kyocera photocopier needed to be updated online), I was tinkering with his sidebar. If there's one thing I like about Vista, it's the sidebar. I thought, maybe someone made a theme or some GUI for XP to make it look like Vista. And someone already did.

Now Tezuka-kun looks like it's running on Vista but without the bugs and glitches and all. He even has a sidebar now! It's just that the sidebar has limited applications. But it doesn't matter. The applications I need are in it. YAAAAAAAAY!

Akemi 166: Shige's Confidence is Now Over the Limit

Shocked
Mood: Shocked

I've never laughed as much as I did watching Shounen Club last night.

It was definitely Shige's episode.

He tried to recreate Yamapi's Anan photoshoot.

During Jr. League, they had 3 challenges. The first one was telling a story that shocked you. Challenge 2 involved a story where you were touched, I think with a sempai... I don't remember. The 3rd challenge was the kakkoi pose challenge where they had 5 shots.

I won't elaborate on the other two except that the blue team (Dream Bombers) unanimously won the first challenge, where Fujigaya Taisuke told this story about this girl who told him "Please tell Miyata-kun I like him very much". Maru also says something about being mistaken as part of Kanjani8. And Massu also had this funny story which I totally forgot (a.k.a. didn't translate). The second challenge was won by the pink team (Jousetsu Rainbow) with Yabu's story about Kei-chan. Vote was 3-2 with Ryo, Tego and Shige vs Yamapi and Massu.

Kei wanted Shige to do a sample for the 3rd challenge. Massu, Nakamaru and Kei were like, KA-TO-U! KA-TO-U! and were joined by the audience. Shige, who had no choice, stood up and shouted "URUSAI!!!" sort of channeling Ryo-chan's anger. LOL. And so they proceeded with the photo shoot.

Shokura has this music for "photoshoots" that go, ting-ting *click*. Kind of fast, I must say. It gives you around 3 seconds to think what you're going to do next.

So Shige, who was wearing a jacket, plaid button-down long-sleeved shirt, and a white t-shirt stood in the middle of the stage. Kei and Maru went to the sides to give Shige space.

ting-ting Shige poses. *click*

ting-ting Shige takes off his JACKET and poses. *click*
Massu and Tego (who's hidden, coz he's sitting behind Shige) start laughing. Yamapi, who has turned his head to Ryo turns his head back to Shige. Maru is holding a laugh.

ting-ting Shige takes off his BUTTON-DOWN SHIRT and poses. *click*
Insert a few fangirl screams.
Massu and Tego are now LOLing so much. So is Pi. And Koyama. Maru is bending over, laughing.

ting-ting Shige takes off his T-SHIRT and poses. *click*
FANGIRLS GO WILD.
Massu is now laughing so much, he kind of almost falls off his chair. Yamapi and Tego are also LOLing. Maru who has been kind of backing away from Shige while laughing turns to Hikaru and LOLs more. Kei-chan is now LOLing so much and slapping his knee. Ryo - smiling. Yes. That's the most we get out of Ryo-chan.

SHIGE'S BODY IS WIN!

He's buff. But not so much. Not thin. Not too Yamapi-ish body also. He's got a little bit of moobs that's... idk... appropriate. YUM. *wipes drool off keyboards*

ting-ting Shige ATTEMPTS to take off his PANTS.
Kei-chan notices and is the first to run to Shige. He stands in front of Shige to block everyone's view. Maru who was backing away runs after Kei-chan. Tego is the first in NewS judges to get to Shige. Massu immediately follows after gaining his balance. Kitayama and Yabu from pink and Hikaru from blue also rush to hide Shige. Yamapi almost trips over Shige's discarded jacket when he runs to Shige.

Maru tells Shige his body is good (that's a literal translation, 'kay?) but not to do something like that. Kei tells Shige off a bit, saying "You're from NewS, right?" (Read: Don't embarrass our group like that!). Shige goes: "Yamashita-kun did it, I want to do it too!"

Someone off-screen says: "ABUNAKATTA!" (That was dangerous!)

OMG. Shige. The confidence. Did that come with the body? LOOOOOL!

WINNER.

Shige owned the episode.

NewS will be back next week.

And next week will be the last Junior League for the year (they go by school year).

On a side note, I've mastered all the dance steps to all of Kanjani8's singles and a few others, and some of NewS's singles. It took me around 30 mins to perfect Taiyou no Namida.

OMG. I forgot.

The 3rd challenge was Senga Kento vs Yaotome Hikaru. Senga's was based on 2 sets of 2 alternating poses (hands on shoulders and V-arms with widespread legs) and the 5th pose (final pose) had him pulling up his left pant leg and showing his left foot in lunge position complete with hand gesture. He looked so serious doing it although if you look closely, in between *click*s, he's actually holding his laughter. Kitayama was all ROFLOL. Hikaru's involved him not getting the timing of the clicks right. It was so cute. Everytime the click was heard, Hikaru was already changing positions and he'd have this "yabbai" face on. The last pose was him in something that vaguely reminds me of the yakuza bow. IDK. I wanted Hikaru to win but NewS voted for Senga's so they won. Actually, the vote was still split 3-2 with Yamapi, Massu and Shige vs Ryo and Tego. And if you can notice, Shige kind of held the deciding vote.

Next week's Junior League will have Yamashita Shoon. YAYNESS!
